EdVenture Hartsville

EdVenture Hartsville

In 2019, Main Street Hartsville was awarded a Main Street Excellence Award from the Municipal Association of South Carolina for EdVenture Children’s Museum.
In the formative stages of bringing EdVenture to Hartsville, initial organizers and Main Street Hartsville created an informal tea party at The Pavilion at Lawton Park, to bring together interested members of the community. The group emerging from this effort then organized a Ladies’ Night Out Fashion Show Fundraiser spotlighting downtown clothing and accessory boutiques. The show is now an annual event aimed at raising operational funds for EdVenture.
Main Street Hartsville also brought key stakeholders in education, government, utilities, and service industries together to meet at the table to discuss the feasibility of making the dream of a children’s museum a reality.
